FAQ of CE-Star Suite 2.8 for Smartphone WM5/6
A: What's the limit of trial version?
Q: Trial version only allows you use 10 minutes for Chinese keyboard input and 50 characters for
handwriting recognition. And the trial version has 15 days trial period.
A: What's difference of Suite and Standard version?
Q: The Suite version contains Chinese handwriting recognition. Standard version does not contain it.
A: How to register?
Q: If you registered on our website with your order number or product serial number, you will receive the registrtion code via email immediately.
Please follow these steps to activate the trial software into registered version with the registration code:
1. Make sure CE-Star is launched. By default, CE-Star is launched when the phone is power on.
2. Enter CE-Star option dialog first. For QWERTY phone, tap Shift + [SPACE]. For non-QWERTY phone, please open one editable window then hold * and tap [Options...] menu item in the pop up menu.
3. Tap [Register] menu item, enter registration dialog.(Notes: if CE-Star is registered, the ¡®Register¡¯ menu item will be hidden)
3. The registration dialog will display the smartphone¡¯s ESN/IMEI in the Device ID field. This field is read-only.
4. Enter the registration code you received from Mobem. The code includes letters and numbers. These letters are not case-sensitive.
5. After you enter the registration code, tap [Done] button to complete the registration
6. Tap Register button to register
7. The program will prompt you to re-launch CE-Star, select [Yes] , then CE-Star is closed.
8. Launch CE-Star manually. Go Home screen first, then tap Start-> CE-Star (If CE-Star icon is not in the first screen, you may need tap more [More] button).
A: Where's the dictionary? I don't find it after installation.
Q: CE-Star's installation package does not contain dictionary. please download PkDict in
CE-Star download page.
A: My desktop Windows can not read Chinese files created on Pocket PC.
Q: For English Windows 2000/XP, please go Control Panel=>
Regional and Language Settings=>Advanced, then change the setting in
"Language for non-Unicode programs" to "Chinese (Taiwan)" or
"Chinese (Hong Kong)" for Traditional Chinese, or "Chinese (PRC)"
for Simplified Chinese.
Then press OK button apply the change. This change may ask you to restart your Windows.
A: Why no response after tap CE-Star to launch it?
Q: After you tapped the CE-Star icon in start menu or in Programs, it started then display a
small icon on the right-bottom of the Today screen. Switch to Today screen, you will see the icon.
A: Line-breaking error in Chinese paragraph in IE or HTML control.
Q: Please check the option 'IE Auto-Wrap' in CE-Star's option dialog then click OK button to apply the change. If you launched IE before you change the option, please stop IE first with Task Manager software. Please note that change this option will affect the some English UI text display in some applications. This function is available since version 2.8 R1a.
