CE-Star has better Japanese support now!

Since 2.8 R3a, CE-Star provides better Japanese support than previous versions. These improvements include:

1. Allow Japanese standalone installation without Chinese support.
2. New Japanese IME (using Romaji) to enable the user inputting Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana quickly and easily. Large vocabulary for Kanji/Katakana conversion, makes the user inputting faster.
3. Improved Japanese Kanji font display in small font size and better Kana display in big font size.
4. One-Stop Japanese support solution for Windows Mobile based devices, including Japanese Enabler, input method and localizing optimization on application level.
5. Support WM5 and WM6, Pocket PC and Smartphone both. Also support WM2003/2003SE.

Installation:

New setup program adds one "Japanese" setup type option in the Type list. Now use can only install Japanese support without Chinese support. Further optimization is, if you do not select the handwriting recognition in setup (or you install Standard version, not Suite version), the required space will be minimum (about 5MB).

CE-Star Japanese IME:

With this new Japanese IME, you can input Kanji, Hiragana and Kantakana with the soft keypad or built-in hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Better Kanji and Kana font:

We improved the Kanji font in small size and Kana font in large size. The result is better Japanese text readability in most applications, even on VGA (640 x 480) resolution devices.

One-Stop Japanese support solution:

Unlike other products, CE-Star provides total solution of Japanese support for Windows Mobile based devices, including Japanese Enabler, input method and localizing optimization on application level. These localizing optimizations include:

• Auto Japanese text wrapping in HTML documents, emails and all windows based system HTML view control.
• Auto email encode setting in Messaging when you create a new email.
• Correct Japanese sorting items in Contacts application.
